Converge//Napalm Death split release info
“Recorded as part of their new album sessions, Converge offer up the blazing new song “No Light Escapes”. Already a staple of their live set, this whirlwind of an emotional charged song is a soon to be a discordant hardcore/metal anthem for the band. Also on the release, Converge offer a “We Are The World” styled rendition of the influential Entombed classic “Wolverine Blues”. Joining them in tribute is a number of friends including Tomas Lindberg (Disfear, At The Gates, Lock Up), Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom, Split Cranium), Kevin Baker (APMD, The Hope Conspiracy), Brian Izzi (Trap Them), and more. A new Converge album will surface later in 2012 on Epitaph/Deathwish.
On the flip side, metal pioneers Napalm Death offer up two new aural monsters. First, “Will By Mouth” erupts in classic grind fashion. A buzz of brutal guitars and a crushing blast beat lay a foundation for Barney Greenway’s vicious vocal attack. All of it uniquely bleeding together to paint a vivid picture of social unrest. Also on the release, Napalm Death offer the slower and textural new song “No Impediment To Triumph (Bhopal)”. A deeply resonant number that lyrically sheds light on the horrific Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984. Without question, “No Impediment…” is truly powerful and poignant moment for this legendary band.”
New Whitechapel song, Hate Creation has been debuted. Their self-titled fourth studio album will be released June 19th.

Blkheart Group shuts down
The California label that has been around for two years and worked with bands like Molotov Solution, The World We Knew and Elitist has issued this statement on their closing.
“Without getting too detailed as I can not legally disclose too much information due to the split in partnerships that took place.
“What I can say is that it is sad, unfortunate and true that Blkheart has closed its doors. I was only 1/3 of a partnership in the company so this decision was not mine and I wish things would have ended differently for alot of reasons. I am proud of what we did in a two year time span, we made some mistakes and maybe a few people out there hate us or love us, but in the end we took an idea and made it our reality even if it was short lived, we learned from mistakes and accomplished our internal goals. We worked with bands that we personally loved and gave them a shot when others said no, and we stood behind our bands until the end.
“The positive side is that this is not the end for me and a few others who worked at Blkheart. We all manage bands some that were signed to Blkheart and others who are not, and they live on through it all, that’s the good news, companies come and go but music lives forever. We started this company as managers, wanting to better facilitate albums for our own bands when others would not give them the time of day, and we made a few bands much more respected and that was our goal in the end. Of course income and company stability also factor into the equation, we were still new and small and growing daily, most times spending more than we would make, spending our own personal money at times which never mattered to me anyways, I did what had to be done. We went from our bed room / couch offices into 2 spacious offices in downtown Long Beach Ca in a short amount of time, but it is not cheap and in the end money rules the world and for the other partners involved, that was a primary focus as it should be. For me, I just liked to see our albums in stores like Hot Topic, ads in magazines, bands on tour and all the fun stuff that’s associated with it.
“I just want to thank anyone who ever gave any of the Blkheart releases or bands we worked with a chance, including those in the industry who gave me a chance. I made some friends, and some enemies I am sure, but life goes on. For myself, Ian, Andrew, Nelson and my wife Kelly who worked for Blkheart, music is our lives and we are not done.
“Stay tuned…”
